Early Head Start Home-Based
During home visits, child development information and parenting resources are shared with families, developmentally appropriate activities are offered for parent-child interaction, and any issues of concern are discussed.
The Early Head Start Visiting program uses the Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) which is a curriculum based assessment to guide our child development and education component. Parents are invited to interact and observe their children and are valued as the expert on their child. Together parents and home visitors work to support the child's growing curiosity and provide a safe and stable foundation from which the child can flourish.
