Step Up To Leadership Certification

Step Up to Leadership Certification is designed for income eligible community-minded people wanting to make a difference.  The 12-session curriculum is designed to help participants:

  • Understand board responsibilities, parliamentary procedures, how to run a committee meeting, and public speaking tips;
  • Understand themselves and others and how to build strong relationships; and
  • Learn in a safe and fun environment.

 

This certification is offered free of charge to anyone who is interested in making a difference in their community and who is willing to commit to attending all 12 sessions. Eligibility Requirements - Household income may not exceed 125% of the federal poverty guidelines.  

The next class starts March 14, 2016 and is held every Monday though May 23, 2016. 

Step Up To Leadership Graduation is set for May 31, 2016

 

Step-up to Leadership Graduates are able to apply for a $100-$500 mini-grant(s) to support a community project that can be used to make a difference in their community.  Applications are reviewed for consistency with Economic Security Corporation's Mission and Values.
