Sara was referred to Early Head Start in July of 2014. At that time her older child was in custody with the great grandmother through the state. Sara had just given birth to a little boy who was in her custody. At that time her older child was already attending Head Start. Sara had several hurdles and road blocks to overcome, but she was determined.
She worked hard to establish regained custody of her oldest child by fall of 2014. Sara is currently working and going to school full time while her youngest is currently enrolled in an Early Head Start classroom and her oldest is enrolled in Head Start. Sara understands the importance of education and is excited about the safe and stable housing for both of her children and future for her family.
